ZEISS at Jagd & Hund in Dortmund
From 30 January to 2 February of this year, Jagd & Hund, Europe’s largest hunting fair again offered everything the hearts of hunters and fans of the great outdoors could ever wish for. In all, 80,000 visitors to the fair in Dortmund’s Westfalenhalle enjoyed the opportunity to see the latest products from 800 exhibitors from more than 40 different countries. The extensive and varied supporting programme offered everything from a hunting fashion show and an off-road vehicle obstacle course to impressive demonstrations of falconry, the grand presentation of hunting dog breeds and spectacular competitions like the German stag-calling championship.
In line with the company’s traditions, this year saw the return of Zeiss to the fair with a broad spectrum of products from the current portfolio and a number of exciting new additions. The Victory Rangefinder System line recently launched at the ‘Shot Show’ specialist trade fair and the new Conquest V4 riflescope family took centre stage.
The Victory Rangefinder System is a laser rangefinder with an integrated real-time ballistics computer.
The system can be linked by Bluetooth to the ZEISS Hunting App and takes all relevant factors into account for the calculation of the ballistic data. This allows for accurately placed shots at a variety of different distances.
The Victory RF family offers a choice of four models: the Victory RF 8 × 42 and 10 × 42 for daylight hunting and the Victory RF 8 × 54 and 10 × 54 for hunting into the twilight hours.
Uncompromising quality and robustness characterise the high-performance riflescopes of the Conquest V4 line combining the proven ZEISS optics concept with functional design. Featuring a 4× zoom range and BDC (ASV), these riflescopes set an entirely new standard in their class. The Conquest V4 is available in the versions 1–4 × 24, 3–12 × 56, 4–16 × 44 and 6–24 × 50.
The 2018 edition of the ZEISS Hunting Catalogue also reveal a number of exciting innovations. In combination with the new ZEISS AR Sports Optics App, dealers and customers can now bring the catalogue to life and explore the complexities of ZEISS optics products in augmented reality. Features like the distance-measuring system of the Victory Rangefinder System or adjustment of the illuminated dot in the Victory V8 are now not only made visible, but also easy to grasp. The app is available for Android and iOS devices from the respective app stores.
